mommyonfire.com – Great local blog

October 03, 2010 By: Scott Whitley Category: Lafayette Area Blogs

In this modern era of the Internet that we live in, we are always in a search for new content to read and take in. Websites, blogs, news pages, photo sites, forums, chats, you name it.

Today I want to showcase a Lafayette area blog that I like because of its sense of humor and creativity. The name of the blog is mommyonfire.com. The blog is obviously written from a womans perspective but is so well written that even a modern man, of the neanderthal subtype will enjoy it without the need of action scenes, car chases or referees to call the plays.

This last Thursday the author, Natalie, wrote a very creative and humorous blog about apologizing for not writing a blog. It made me smile and laugh in turn. She and her family were suffering from a flu or other common illness and her treatment of it was wonderful.

I don’t know about you, but I want to read stories and posts that are uplifting and humorous without being crude and it is always a pleasure when I find someone who knows how to do it well. This is a great blog and is well worth the time to read and follow it.

Have a great Lafayette day!

His and Her Blog on seasonedwithtime.com

September 23, 2010 By: Scott Whitley Category: Lafayette Area Blogs

A fun blog in the Lafayette area that you may want to read is the His and Her Blog on the www.seasonedwithtime.com website. I have it on good authority that the main author of the site is very funny and has a wonderful way of telling personal stories that keeps me in stitches.

Of course I have to admit that the reason I have it on good authority is because the author of that blog is my wife, Leah. I have always admired her ability to tell a story and her blog is a great outlet for some of her experiences. She is a self employed business owner who sells both online on eBay and locally as co-owner of Mustard Seed in Dayton, Indiana. She has some great stories from time to time about her adventures as a business person and she knows how to bring out the humor in the situations. She also loves to write.

It is truly great how those of us who enjoy writing have the option to self publish in today’s world. I am glad she has this blog for the reason that I think she has something worthwhile to say and a great way of saying it. Go check out the site. You won’t be disappointed.
